Minecraft Pocket Edition 1.16 Download
The 1.16.0 update is one of the largest and completely transforms the Nether, adding new biomes, creatures, blocks, and much more. Besides, this update affects the Overworld, adding new blocks there.
The title screen is changed. It shows the main theme of the update — the Nether, which now looks more impressive.
In the Nether, 4 new biomes are now generated. One of them is the Soul Sand Valley . In this biome, besides the sand, there are small structures made of basalt blocks resembling small pillars that connect the floor to the ceiling in the Nether. The blue fire is generated on the soul sand, which is an improved version of the usual fire. The soul fire can also be lit in the Overworld, as it appears on the soul sand in any dimension. The blue fire is rain-resistant, so it will not go out, provided it is on the soul sand. Unlike ordinary fire, the soul fire inflicts 2 damage per second instead of 1. Ordinary skeletons, gasts, and endermen will spawn in the Soul Sand Valley. The latter will spread Nether sprouts behind their tracks.
The Basalt Deltas biome is almost completely covered with basalt. There are also small structures in the form of basalt pillars there. Besides basalt, there is a new block — blackstone. Small reservoirs of lava and magma are scattered around this biome. Ash particles are constantly swirling there without causing any harm. These are all of the biome’s features, as there are not even any creatures there, except Magma Cubes . The blackstone can also be useful — this block is similar to the cobblestone and is applied in crafting stone items.
The Warped Forest biome consists of soil covered with blue-green grass, on which small warped trees grow. The planks made of the latter can be used in crafting standard blocks, such as plates, buttons, plates, plates, hatches, doors, steps, gates, and fences. Several plant species grow on the soil of this biome , such as warped fungus, red mushroom, twisting vines reaching the height of up to 3-4 blocks, and ordinary grass.
The warped forest is basically quite a safe biome; there are only endermen and striders there. Strider is a friendly mob. They can be bred by feeding them with warped mushrooms. Striders carry their babies on the backs. If they happen to get caught in the rain, they will begin to die. When a strider dies, the strings are dropped.
Crimson Forest consists of mushroom-like trees. It is possible to make planks of local wood; in turn, standard blocks are crafted from them, which will have a red hue. Under the leaves of crimson trees grow climbable weeping vines. Red particles randomly move throughout the biome without ever fading away.
This forest is inhabited by piglins and a new hostile mob, hoglin. They can be bred; for this, you need to feed them with crimson mushrooms that grow in this biome. If the crimson forest biome is located next to a wrapped forest, hoglins may sometimes attack creatures from there, that is, striders. After a hoglin’s death, raw porkchop and leather are dropped. If a hoglin somehow gets to the Overworld, it will turn into a zoglin, which is a hostile mob.
In all other places, that is, throughout the Nether, a new mob is now encountered, piglin. This creature is a partially neutral; it will not attack you if you are wearing golden armor, as it will consider you a tribesman. If you dig gold ore next to a piglin, it becomes aggressive and will attack. Baby piglins are completely neutral. You can trade with a piglin if you give it a gold ingot.
The update adds new means of lighting. First of all, it is the soul torch, which has the same components as an ordinary one with the addition of soul soil or soul sand . Besides, there is the soul lantern, which is crafted like a common lantern but with a soul torch as a lighting source.
A new material has been added — the netherite ingot. To craft it, you will need 4 gold ingots and 4 pieces of netherite scrap. The ingots can be used to create a netherite block for decorative purposes. To craft netherite scrap, it is necessary to smelt ancient debris in a furnace. Netherite blocks and ingots are invulnerable to lava. Netherite ingots are primarily used in the crafting of new tools, swords, and armor. All these items are also invulnerable to fire and lava. A netherite armor piece is crafted by mixing an ingot with a diamond armor element. That is, netherite items are an improved version of diamond ones. Netherite tools are created similarly, that is, of a netherite ingot and a diamond tool. All of them inflict +1 damage compared to the diamond ones. Moreover, netherite tools can boast a slightly higher efficiency.
