Axolotl Buckets for Minecraft 26.1.2

Axolotl Buckets solves a small but noticeable problem with axolotls in buckets. In the game, the icon does not always make it easy to understand exactly which pet is inside, so sorting rare variants turns into confusion. The mod changes the item display: the bucket gets an icon connected with the color and age of the axolotl. 

In the inventory, it is immediately clear where the adult pink axolotl is, where the small yellow one is, and where the rare blue baby is. It does not add new mobs and does not change creature behavior, but it makes collecting neater. Storing, carrying, and showing axolotls becomes clearer, and the buckets themselves stop looking identical.

How to install the modification:

First step: download and install Forge.

Second step: download the mod file.

Third step: copy Axolotl Buckets mod package to the .minecraft/mods folder (if it does not exist, install Forge again or create it yourself).
