Cheaper Maps for Minecraft 26.1.2

In regular Minecraft, a map does not appear right away: first, you need to get iron, redstone, and make a compass. Cheaper Maps simplifies this moment and lets you start navigation much earlier. Instead of a compass, the recipe uses black dye or ink, so a map can be created after collecting paper and meeting squids.

At first glance, the change is small, but at the beginning of survival it helps a lot. It is easier for the player to remember the way to the base, mark villages, biomes, portals, mines, and other important places. The mod does not add new items and does not complicate the game with extra mechanics — it simply changes one recipe.

How to install the modification:

First step: download and install Fabric и Fabric API.

Second step: download the mod file.

Third step: copy Cheaper Maps mod package to the .minecraft/mods folder (if it does not exist, install Forge again or create it yourself).
