Snapshot Minecraft 25w17a Java Edition Download (Review)

The third snapshot for Minecraft version 1.21.6 has been released — 25w17a. While it doesn't bring many changes, it includes a lot of bug fixes and introduces the Player Locator as the main new feature.

New Features

Added a new "Cloud Render Distance" setting, allowing you to adjust the visibility range of clouds in the game. It can be set from 2 to 128 blocks. This is a major addition, as some players previously disabled clouds entirely using mods;
Realms: In the Realms user interface, you can now choose the region for your game world;
Introduced a new "Player Locator" panel in the form of a separate HUD interface, showing the direction of other players (specific to multiplayer environments);
Multiplayer Minecraft servers can manage the locator bar via the new game rule: Locator Bar;
If players are above or below the screen, corresponding arrows will appear on the locator;
Each player is assigned a randomly generated indicator color;
Players in Spectator Mode are visible only to other spectators.

Changes

Players can now hide by sneaking and wearing a mob head or a carved pumpkin. To fully hide, they must also drink an Invisibility Potion. Hello, official Hide and Seek mode in Minecraft;
Players in Spectator Mode do not appear on locators for regular players;
If a player is sneaking, they will not appear on other players’ locators;
28 bugs have been fixed.

Installation

Step 1. Open TLauncher and go to the Settings tab by clicking the gear icon in the lower right corner.

Step 2. Select the Display Snapshots checkbox, and do not forget to save the changes by clicking the appropriate button at the bottom.

Step 3. On the main screen of TLauncher, open the version selection tab, select the desired snapshot, and click 'Install' or 'Launch the Game' if the snapshot is already installed.
