Mrblueyeti’s Better Cats expands the visual variety of cats in Minecraft. The pack adds new breeds and updates already existing pets, making their models and textures more expressive. Cats stop looking like several similar variants of one mob: they gain different colors, shapes, and a more realistic presentation.

The cat type is determined when it spawns, but the needed variant can be obtained through a name tag if a supported word is used.
