The character’s appearance and armor stats often conflict with each other, and VanitySlots separates these two things. The mod adds four cosmetic slots for armor: items placed in them are visible on the model, but do not provide protection. This allows you to wear a strong set for survival while showing another set over it for style.
Sky Aesthetics expands the way the sky works and makes its customization clearer without complicated technical actions. The mod allows you to change the textures of sky elements, adjust their size, or completely remove unnecessary details. With it, you can add colorful stars, moving lights, shooting stars, and constellations, making the night sky stop feeling like an empty background.
Traveling across land is interrupted by rivers, ravines, and canyons that have to be bypassed or built over manually. Abridged adds ready-made bridges to world generation, fitting them into the landscape as natural elements of the environment. Structures appear over streams and deep cracks, and their appearance changes: wood, stone, different design styles, and separate variants with railway tracks.
Starcatcher turns fishing from simple waiting for a bite into a separate activity with collecting, rare finds, and progression. Instead of the usual mechanic, a mini-game appears, and its result depends on the fish being caught. The mod adds more than a hundred species, and some of them appear only in the right biome, during certain weather, or at a specific time of day.
Super Ore Block adds a new way to store ore blocks and use them for decorative purposes. Four blocks of the same material can be combined into a super block with a black frame around the edges, and then, if necessary, disassembled back through the crafting table. Coal, copper, iron, gold, lapis lazuli, redstone, emerald, diamond, and netherite are supported.
Vanilla pressure plates are limited to a few materials, and this often gets in the way when creating hidden mechanisms or neat decoration. More Beautiful Pressure Plates removes this limitation: first, a frame is created, and then it is combined with the chosen block in the crafting table.
Wither Turns Skeletons introduces the transformation of ordinary skeletons into wither skeletons under the effect of a withering potion. The mechanic feels natural because it resembles already familiar mob transformations: skeletons become strays in powder snow, and zombies turn into drowned underwater. Here, the same principle is transferred to the withering effect.
A regular creeper is dangerous because it sneaks up silently, but Camo Creepers strengthens this threat through camouflage. New creepers change color to match the environment and blend in with the grass of the biome: in a forest, they are harder to separate from greenery, in a desert, from sandy tones, and in snowy places, from the light background. Because of this, the usual check of the area no longer works as reliably.
In villages, it is usually clear where a peaceful villager is and where an enemy is, so trading zones quickly become a safe routine. Village Masquerade breaks this confidence: hostile mobs can hide under the appearance of villagers and attack at an unexpected moment. This mechanic changes behavior in settlements.
Illagers express themselves only through sounds and actions, but Illager Blabber adds full voice lines to them. Phrases trigger in different situations: during idling, when detecting the player, in combat, after a kill, during a raid victory, and in other scenes. Because of this, pillagers, vindicators, and other illagers start to seem louder, more arrogant, and more alive.
