Snapshot Minecraft 25w18a Java Edition Download (Review)
Snapshot 25w18a was released on April 29, 2025. In this update, the crafting recipes for the **Leash** and the **Dried Ghast** were changed, and a large number of bugs were fixed.

Changes
- The **Dried Ghast** now requires Soul Sand in its crafting recipe, whereas it previously used a bone block;
- The **Leash** recipe now only requires 5 pieces of **String** (Slimeball is no longer needed);
- Players can now trade with **Piglins** to obtain a **Dried Ghast**;
- The effect of **Splash Potions** now depends on the distance between the impact point and the target. If a player hits a mob directly, it receives the full effect. If it lands nearby or affects multiple mobs in a group, the effect is reduced accordingly;
- 18 bugs have been fixed.
Installation
Step 1. Open TLauncher and go to the Settings tab by clicking the gear icon in the lower right corner.
Step 2. Select the Display Snapshots checkbox, and do not forget to save the changes by clicking the appropriate button at the bottom.
Step 3. On the main screen of TLauncher, open the version selection tab, select the desired snapshot, and click 'Install' or 'Launch the Game' if the snapshot is already installed.
