Snapshot Minecraft 25w33a Java Edition Download (Review)

August 12, 2025 saw the release of a new Minecraft snapshot 25w33a, which introduces experimental innovations and takes a fresh look at old and already familiar game details. The End dimension was touched upon, new mob interactions were added, and small chat improvements were introduced, which will be useful in multiplayer worlds or on servers.

General innovations

· The End sky. Until recently, the sky over the End dimension was completely black with nothing visible on it, and players had to navigate only by the end stone beneath their feet. Now it is different: flashes will periodically appear, illuminating the battlefield with the Dragon. They are done in a purple color. They do not happen often, but look spectacular.

· Settings. Players now have the option to enable a separate setting that will save unsent chat messages. Their full list will be opened separately, and you can interact with it if necessary.

· Tags. A new tag has been added for items that can be removed from Copper Golems’ heads using shears. By entering #shearable_from_copper_golem, you can learn more about the list of dropped items.

· Message drafts. A major innovation that helps save drafts if the chat was closed (not intentionally). All saved text is marked in gray and can be easily restored. You can do this: when entering new text, using arrows, by clicking on the draft, or highlighting it. If you want to delete it, press Backspace, and if you want to send it as a regular message without additions, press Enter.

Category changes

· Shelf. Items on it are now displayed in the center (previously they were at the bottom). The size of a large number of items was also adjusted to make them look more natural.

· Iron Golem. Starting with this snapshot, this mob can place flowers on a Copper Golem (they can be cut off with shears). Also, when turning a Copper Golem into a statue, this plant will automatically drop.

· Chat. Another small change related to non-standard game situations. Players will be able to continue chatting while inside a Nether portal, and chat records will be saved even if a transfer occurred.

Fixes

A total of 28 bugs were fixed, including changes to chat, transitions between game modes, additional particles and effects, player sprinting, as well as client-server desynchronization.

Installation

Step 1. Open TLauncher and go to the Settings tab by clicking the gear icon in the lower right corner.

Step 2. Select the Display Snapshots checkbox, and do not forget to save the changes by clicking the appropriate button at the bottom.

Step 3. On the main screen of TLauncher, open the version selection tab, select the desired snapshot, and click 'Install' or 'Launch the Game' if the snapshot is already installed.
