Snapshot Minecraft 25w32a Java Edition Download (Review)

25w32a — the second snapshot of the Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.9 branch, released on August 5, 2025. The main theme is the "copper line": bars, chain, lantern, and torch made of copper, plus a number of recipe tweaks and technical datapack/resource pack versions. This update makes copper a full-fledged building material with oxidation, waxing, and a unified visual family.

What was added

Copper Bars — functionally like Iron Bars; made of copper, oxidize over time, can be waxed.
Copper Chain — a full analogue of the chain, but copper; the previous block "Chain" is now renamed to Iron Chain. Also oxidizes and can be waxed.
Copper Lantern — crafted "like the regular lantern," but with a copper torch and copper; the lantern itself oxidizes, its appearance changes, functionally — like the regular lantern.
Copper Torch — a "green" variant of the regular torch; recipe: copper nugget + coal + stick; properties identical to the torch.

Changes and balance

Renaming: Chain → Iron Chain (to free up the name for the copper chain).
Shelves: items on the Shelf now "sit" on the shelf instead of "hanging" in the air — visually neater.
Copper Golem statues: always drop as an item when mined, and fall when pushed by a piston — predictable behavior for farms/decor.
Copper Trapdoor: recipe now uses 4 copper ingots (like the iron trapdoor) instead of 6. This brings the copper and iron trapdoor recipes closer together.

Fixes

Dozens of bugs were fixed, among the notable ones:

Pause did not "freeze" some states (for example, drowning/freezing, burning on a strider, and elytra wear) — behavior has been corrected.
Inventory/GUI: it was possible to use items with the inventory open in "Toggle" mode; subtitles overlapped the interface; Sprint Window value not saving, and more.
Graphics/render: missing inner cubes on slimes; baby mob shadows; artifacts with fishing rod hook and debug crosshair.

Installation

Step 1. Open TLauncher and go to the Settings tab by clicking the gear icon in the lower right corner.

Step 2. Select the Display Snapshots checkbox, and do not forget to save the changes by clicking the appropriate button at the bottom.

Step 3. On the main screen of TLauncher, open the version selection tab, select the desired snapshot, and click 'Install' or 'Launch the Game' if the snapshot is already installed.
